Best Easter Brunch Spots Around Devonshire
April 7, 2023   |   Jillian Letourneau

Millions of Americans eat out on Easter every year. Most of them will attend right after church, most likely to brunch.

Although the meal’s exact origins are a bit muddled, most believe the concept of brunch occurred thanks to Catholics who would fast before mass. Because the holiday is thematically built around eggs, it only makes sense that the period between breakfast and lunch (brunch, get it?) would become a staple for the Easter holiday. Fortunately for Devonshire, we’ve got plenty of locations nearby where you can enjoy the meal this spring season.

Catalyst Restaurant

Okay, this dining spot actually goes all out for Easter. Based in Cambridge, Catalyst Restaurant will host a buffet featuring holiday themed breakfast items and desserts. Chef-owner William Kovel will also offer plenty of activities, including two egg hunts on the green outside the restaurant. Those dressed in their Sunday best will be able to take pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Because there are four temperamental seasons around Devonshire, Catalyst switches up the menu based on the freshest local ingredients.

Bistro du Midi

What’s better than celebrating Easter on the Boston Public Gardens? Over in the Back Bay, Bistro du Midi offer holidays revelers a three-course brunch menu. Delicious options include duck confit foie gras waffles, Spanish octopus au poivre, vanilla bean crème brûlée, and many more.

Over two floors, chef Robert Sisca’s classic French cuisine is quintessential local flavor.  Obviously, these views of the Public Gardens are for Easter goers of the finest taste.

Puritan & Company

Located in a shabby-chic venue near Inman Square, Puritan & Co. is relaunching their popular Sunday brunch service specifically for the season. Delicious dishes served include corned beef hash, grilled sirloin steak and eggs, Belgian-style waffles, and many more mouth-watering offerings.

Pastry Chef Brian Mercury will be on-site serving both Easter pastries and breads.

Bay Pointe

This award-winning farm to table restaurant has its own printed Easter brunch menu printed, filled with lilacs and scrumptious offerings. Easter brunch this year consists of live music and buffet style selections that require a reservation.

March through May will have a different artist scheduled for each week. The entrée station includes braised beef and asiago chicken breast; the breakfast station contains cinnamon swirl almond french toast and fresh baked pastries.
