Experience a Modern Dance Ensemble Like None Other at the Citi Shubert Theatre

admin on November 27, 2013 - 12:40 pm in Around Town
Dancers are both artists and elite athletes. Their rigorous training is reflected through each performance and during the Depression, modern dance events were popular as a way of forgetting about daily troubles. Today, residents young and old can watch modern dance at Citi Shubert Theatre. If you want to see what all the fuss is about, make sure you are free on November 1 - 3.

On these dates, the Paul Taylor Dance Company will perform at the Citi Shubert Theatre. This icon of American dance was established in 1954, when Paul and five friends performed Jack and the Beanstalk. Paul Taylor is the last living choreographer of the pantheon that developed the art of modern dance. The San Francisco Chronicle hailed him "the greatest living American choreographer."

The sought-after ensemble will perform three Boston premieres:

Boston premiere of Perpetual Dawn (2013)
Private Domain (1969)
Black Tuesday (2001)
The venue is located on 265 Tremont Street, which is approximately 1.1 miles from our apartments by car. Ticket prices range from $40-$75 and you can reserve seats online. Show times are as follows:

November 1 - 7:30 pm
November 2 - 8 pm
November 3 - 3 pm
