Enjoying a meal outdoors doesn’t get any better than during the summer in Boston. Living at Devonshire offers you the chance to enjoy a variety of restaurants, all with wonderful outdoor dining, within walking distance of home! Here are five places you can try:

Battery Park Bar and Patio

Just a five-minute walk from Devonshire, Battery Park Bar and Patio is located at 33 Batterymarch Street. Battery Park is an upscale sports bar that offers appetizers such as Philly cheese steak egg rolls, skillet nachos, and mac and cheese bites. You’ll also find a tempting selection of sandwiches, soups, burgers, and more. Battery Park has a wide selection of beers and whiskeys. It’s a neighborhood spot where the staff will get to know you by name and you’ll always feel welcome.

Granary Tavern

A mere six-minute walk from Devonshire you’ll find Granary Tavern. Located in a building that was built in 1816 and is a historic former grain mill, Granary Tavern features the original brick walls, reclaimed wood, and a first floor brick patio that overlooks the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway. The menu includes items such as Florentine Benedict, stuffed French toast, New England style clam chowder, Nashville hot chicken, and smoked trout pâté. Brunch is available Saturdays and Sundays.

State Street Provisions

Located at 255 State Street on Long Wharf, State Street Provisions is just a seven-minute walk from Devonshire and features a great patio. If you’re a fan of elevated American dishes, this is the place for you. You’ll find a raw bar that offers Cape Cod clams, tuna tartare, chilled shrimp, and chilled lobster tail. Also on the menu: pizzas, soups, salads, and sandwiches. State Street also offers breakfast for dinner every Sunday night.

Sterling’s

Sterling’s, located at 60 State Street, is a quick two-minute walk from Devonshire. Sterling’s has a cocktail-centric concept and a hip ambiance. The beautiful and spacious patio that overlooks Faneuil Hall is perfect for a relaxing summer meal. The menu is rich in local seafood, healthy salads and entrees, flat breads, sandwiches, and adventurous apps that include tater tot nachos, “bang bang” cauliflower, and shrimp ceviche. One of the best things about living at Devonshire is its close proximity to restaurants. Try one or all this summer while the weather is warm and you can enjoy outdoor dining.
