The North End is a traditionally Italian neighborhood in Boston and people come here to enjoy the Italian culture. It is also known for having a high concentration of great restaurants. With so many choices, it can be hard to choose one. Here’s a look at some of the best restaurants the North End has to offer:

Aria Trattoria

Aria Trattoria is one of those restaurants in the North End that people love to visit more than once. The atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, and the delicious food enchants visitors. Menu items include Osso Buco, Frutti di Mare Fra Diavolo, and Bolognese da Abruzzo. Located on Hanover Street, this restaurant is also a convenient 9-minute walk from the Devonshire Apartments.

Bricco

Bricco Ristorante & Enoteca is known just as much for its food as it is for its wine choices. Wine Spectator Magazine has given Bricco its Award of Excellence. They have an extensive menu with favorites such as Beef Carpaccio, Risotto, and homemade pasta dishes. They also have plenty of steak and seafood choices, as well as traditional Italian desserts, such as Tiramisu. Located on Hanover Street, Bricco is only a 9-minute walk from Devonshire.

Carmelina’s

Carmelina’s is devoted to offering new twists on traditional favorites. They offer traditional Sicilian foods, as well as other Mediterranean dishes. Options include Gnocchi al Forno, Spaghetti with Littleneck Clams, and Wild Mushroom Risotto. There’s also an extensive wine list. Located on Hanover Street, Carmelina’s is about an 11-minute walk from the Devonshire Apartments.

Giacomo’s

Giacomo’s is an Italian-American restaurant and their menu reflects this. They are known for their delicious Lobster Rolls, Linguini Scallops, and their Lobster Ravioli. You can pair your meal with a glass of wine and finish it off with traditional Italian desserts. Giacomo’s is also on Hanover Street and is about a 10-minute walk from the Devonshire Apartments.

Neptune Oyster

Neptune Oyster is unlike any other restaurant that can be found in the North End. While most of the restaurants here are Italian, Neptune Oyster is focused on seafood, particularly oysters. This is the place to go if you want to enjoy some of the freshest raw oysters that can be found in the city, as well as other seafood dishes, such as Cioppino, Seared Scallops, and the Lobster Roll. You can also get unique dishes, such as Squid Ink Risotto, on certain days of the week. Located on Salem Street, this restaurant is a 9-minute walk from Devonshire. You can’t go wrong with any of these North End restaurants. They’re all within walking distance of the Devonshire Apartments.
