There are few better ways to get into the holiday spirit than watching a classic holiday musical. This year, invite your friends and family to accompany you to a performance of "The Nutcracker" at the nearby Boston Opera House on Washington St.

"The Nutcracker" was originally written by Mlkko Nlsslnen and accompanied by classical music composed by Pyot Ilyick Tchaikovsky. It tells the timeless story of Clara, a girl who saves the magical Nutcracker Prince while embarking on an amazing adventure in a secret world. The plot, the dancing and the music are spellbinding.

This performance of "The Nutcracker" by the Boston Ballet opens on November 29 and runs through December 29. Shows are held Monday through Thursday at 7:30 pm, Friday and Saturday at 1 pm and 7:30 pm, and on Sundays at 1 and 5:30 pm. This performance of "The Nutcracker" lasts approximately 2 hours. Last year, tickets sold out for many of the performances, so be sure to purchase yours early to guarantee that you get a seat.
