6 Valentine’s Day Events to Attend in the Boston Area
It’s always fun to spend time with the ones you love but there’s something special about making Valentine’s Day plans. Sure, you could always visit your favorite restaurant or go on a fairly typical date, but Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to do something a little different. This year, why not attend one of the Valentine’s Day events that the city has to offer? Here’s a look at some of the fun things you can do this year for Valentine’s Day:
Devonshire Residents Valentine’s Day Cupcake Social
Do you want to stay close to home on Valentine’s Day? Devonshire residents are invited to attend our Valentine’s Day Cupcake Social, which is hosted in our main lobby on Tuesday, February 14th at 4 PM until all of the cupcakes are gone!
Take a Romantic Wine Class
The Boston Wine School has a special event for Valentine’s Day lined up called, “In Love With Wine and Chocolate
.” The event takes place on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 6:30-9:00 PM at The Middle Gray in Brookline. The event consists of both wine instruction and dinner and is the perfect way to spend your Valentine’s Day!
Attend the Chinese New Year Parade
Are you looking for a different way to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Consider attending the Chinese New Year Parade in Chinatown on Sunday, February 12th. Although it doesn’t take place exactly on Valentine’s Day, this is a perfect outing for those couples that would rather celebrate over the weekend.
See a Show at the Charles Playhouse
Another great Valentine’s Day option is to attend a show at the Charles Playhouse. The Blue Man Group
has two performances on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Attend either the 6 PM or 9 PM show and you will also have time to grab dinner either before or after the performance! Shear Madness
is also showing at the Charles Playhouse at 8 PM on Valentine’s Day on the second stage.
Attend a Valentine’s Day Brunch
The Boston Wine Festival began in January and has events running until April. Wine enthusiasts will love the Valentine’s Day Jazz Brunch
, which takes place on February 12th. It’s always a popular event since it combines three things that people love – jazz music, brunch foods, and wine. Reservations for brunch are being taken from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Take a Valentine’s Day Dance Lesson
Dancing is a great thing to do with your partner, but instead of going dancing at a nightclub, consider taking a Lindy Hop dance class at Boston Lindy Hop
. There are a few classes listed on their schedule for Valentine’s Day and they also offer other classes throughout the month.
As you can see, there are plenty of fun things you can do in the Boston area for Valentine’s Day with the one you love! There’s definitely something for everyone.
